Synk Team on WHO Radio’s “The Big Show”

The Synk Team had the pleasure of joining the Sukup Manufacturing Co. team in their booth at the Iowa Ag Expo in Downtown Des Moines, IA on February 4-6, 2024. During the expo, WHO Radio’s The Big Show set up a broadcasting booth just outside the big bin with hosts, Bob Quinn, David Geiger and Nathan Fischer. A few members of the Synk team has the opportunity to chat with the hosts and share the story behind the new grain management technology. Check out the interviews below to listen in!

The Big Show Interview with Brad Vorrie, Automation Engineer, and Dave Hoffman, Solution Specialist

In the interview, Brad and Dave discuss the advanced grain bin monitoring and control system. They shared how Synk features temperature and moisture sensors, CO2 detection, and a user-friendly on-bin interface, allowing farmers to track grain quality in real time. CO2 monitoring serves as an early warning for spoilage, detecting issues before they become costly problems.

The Big Show Interview with Commercialization Manager, Aaron Anderson

In this interview Aaron discusses the monitoring system, which includes temperature and moisture sensors, CO2 detection, and remote fan controls, giving farmers real-time insights into their stored grain. CO2 monitoring offers an early warning system for spoilage, going beyond the traditional “smell test.” Synk launched a limited release in March through Sukup’s dealer network.
